Assisting building owners in preserving their treasures.
Historical buildings are often quite extraordinary and cement cultural heritage value.
Preserving structures is preserving time for today's needs, acknowledging the history of the past, and remembrance of how difficult it was for construction without modern day equipment. Encapsulating time not only allows remembrance but also allows future generations to acknowledge what the past presented and the skills it took to construct.
BUSTAMANTE ENGINEERS
will
listen to your concerns and evaluate the structural condition, diagnose, and offer, in most instances, a few restoration choices. This is all included in a report with recommendations of repair or further investigations. In most cases, a site inspection and follow up report will provide the information needed to solve the problem. If further investigation, evaluation or design is required, a separate proposal will outline the scope of work.
We assist in preserving historic treasures including the following:
Identifying the building’s structural condition
Restoring the buildings components
Rehabilitating the historical character
Meeting today's code for accessibility
Liaison with Architectural authorities

What Are Ice Dams? Ice dams are ridges of ice that form at the edge of a roof, preventing melted snow from properly draining off. This trapped water can seep under shingles and into your home, leading to leaks, mold growth, and structural damage.
Cracks in walls can be a confusing sight for homeowners, as they may wonder if the cracks are harmless or indicative of structural problems. The key to proper repair and prevention lies in understanding what type of crack it is and its cause. Not all wall cracks should raise equal levels of concern.
